Act 4 Scene 1 begings in the forest with Titania and her faries pampering Bottom wiht his ass head. In the beginging he was baffeled as to why she loved him but he was quite enjoying all of the attention. He fell asleep with Titania by his side. Then Oberon and puck happen upon the sleeping two and Oberon releases the spell from Titania, and puck removes Bottom's ass head. Oberon tells puck of when he met with Titania and got her to agree to give him the young Indian boy and he would release the spell. Day comes and Titania and Oberon return to normal and so does bottom. This day is also Theseus's wedding day and he enters on a hunt with Hippolyta, Egeus, and his attendants. The sound of his hounds wakes the four sleeping lovers, Hermia and Lysander, and Demetrius and Helena. They two groups bump into each other and the young lovers retell their story of the previous night but it all sems as a dream. All they know is that Demetruis no longer loves Hermia, but now Helena and Hermia and Lysander are even more in love. This is also the day that Hermia is to make her decision as to whether she marries Demetrius but he does not want her anymore and Egeus is enrages. Theseus see's two happy couples in front of him and does not see the need to cause problems so he orders everyone back to the temple in athens for not one but three happy weddings.
Scene 2
In the mean time, bottom wakes and is lost. The previous night was a dream but he no longer had his ass head. He wanderend back into the clearing looking for the practicing actors but they were nowhere to be found, leaving bottom. At the same time the group of actors were having a meeting discussing the absence of bottom and how he was irriplaceable. One of the actors joins them with the news that theseus and 2 more couples had been married and were very eager to see a play, and the actors were in quite the situation. Just then Bottom bursts in on the meeting. He asks why they looked so sad and where they had gone. He says he has a story to tell them of the night before and his adventures but does not tell them. He directs them to get their costumes together and head stragiht for the dukes to perform their play.

Act 3 Scene 2
In act three scene two, Puck tells Oberon about Titania's love for an actor with an ass head. While they are discussing their sucess, Demetrius enters followed by Hermia. She is questioning him about Lysander's whereabouts because he went missing during the night. Puck realizes this is not the man that he enchanted and Oberon see's the man that he had told puck to enchant with a completely different woman. It is known that there is a problem and the love triangle has been changed and problems start. Oberon also has puck fix his mistake by putting the flower on Demetrius's eyes so he will fall in love wiht Helena. THen Lysander finds helena, and begs her love but she thinks he is doing it to mock her. The noise wakes demetrius from his sleep to see helena and then Lysander and he too falls in love wiht helena. She thinks the two men are doing it to be cruel and mock her. Both were enemies loving Hermia and now they are enemies mocking Helena. Then Hermia returns and see's Lysander. She questions him why he left and he says that he left because he found his true love. She did not believe him nor did she believe Demetrius saying the same thing. Helena also thought that the three were in on the joke together and felt betrayed by her long time best friend. Eventually Hermia begins to see the truth and all breaks loose between the two girls. At the end of the fight, Oberon has puck lead them all into seperate parts of the woods so they can fix the problems they created. they annointe Lysander's eyes so he will fall in love again with Hermia, and Demetrius and Helena wil be in love and htey can all return to anthens in peace.

Act 3 Scene 1
In Act 3 Scene 1, the group of actors that are to perform at Theseus's wedding meet to practice. In the script, Pyramus is killed and there is a lion, and if they scare the ladies, the actors will be put to their deaths. In fear of this, the actors decide to prestate that the lion is not actually a lion, and Pyramus is not actually killed. While the actors reherse, Bottom who is Pyramus, is off stage, and Puck, comes into the scene but invisible. He decides to play a trick and turn Bottoms head into that of an ass. When Bottom comes back on stage, he scares the other actors and they flee. When in the forest, Bottom wakes Titania and she falls in love with Bottom.

Act 2 Scene 1&2
Now in class we heard Act 2 scene 1 and 2 and this is my personal summary of what happened
Scene 1
While in the forest, 2 fairies meet. One of the is Robin, aka Puck, who is the servant of Oberon, the king of the fairies. The other is a servant of Titania, the queen of the fairies. Puck warns Titania's faerie to not let her come near Oberon because the fairies are mad at each other. Then coming to join their servants, Oberon and Titania both appear. They start in argument and quarrel over a small Indian prince. Titania has him as her attendant, but Oberon wished to have him as his knight. Neither agrees to give up the child. So when Titania leaves, Oberon asks Puck to go and find him a magic flower that was once hit by cupids arrows. If you rub this flowers juices on a sleepers eyelids, when they wake they will fall in love with the first thing they see. While puck is gone, Oberon witnesses Helena and Demetrius arguing about love. Lovesick helena wishes for demitrius and the more he pushes her away, the more in love she falls and the more demetrius love Hermia. Oberon wished to mess with the love triangle and when Puck returns, he instructs him to rub the flower juice on an Athenian man's eyes who is in the forest.
Scene 2
After Titania leaves oberon, she falls asleep by the stream bank. Oberon himself puts the flowers juice onto her eyelids so when she wakes she will fall in love with a beast. Lysander and Hermia are also walking through the forest on their escape from the rules of Athens. It is late and Lysander and Hermia decide to spend the night in the forest but keep their distance as respect to customs. At this time puck is also looking for an Athena man, and happens upon Lysander so he rubs the flower juice on his eyelids. After this, Helena and demetrius are still making their way through the woods, and demetrius once and for all tells Helena to stay away from him no matter how much she pleads. The noise wakes Lysander and he first sees helena and falls completely in love. Helena is not pleased at all and is very insulted. She thinks he is making fun of her and is very angry so she leaves but Lysander chases after her. Hermia later awakes to a missing Lysander and wanders into the woods to find him.

Act 1 Scene 1&2
In class we listened to the audio version of A Mid summers night dream. We now are summarizing the scenes into our own forms.
Scene 1
Egeus, the father of Hermia goes to the ruler, Theseus, and presents him with the problem he has with his daughter. He wishes for her to marry Demetrius, but she is in love with Lysander who loves her back. She refuses to marry Demetrius and seeks every other option. She has to marry Demetrius, become a nun, or be put to her death. But to Hermia, anything is better than marrying Demetrius. When Theseus discusses private matters with Egeus and Demetrius, Lysander and Hermia are left alone. In this time they plot to flee the city, where the Athenian law does not bind Hermias marriage and she is free to wed Lysander. Helena joins Hermia and Lysander and is told of their plans. She is in love with demetrius but he wont love her back, only Hermia. When Hermia and Lysander leave, Helena plans to tell Demetrius of Hermia's plan so she can win his affection.
Scene 2

Spring Break
Week #2
So it was actually spring break, and i went to whistler Canada this year. After the many, tiresome hours of travel, from waiting in the security check lines, to collecting your luggage and waiting on the side of the road piled with bags counting the minutes until your driver will pick you up to take you to your hotel in LA for the night, to sitting in a small airplane watching the endless stretch of land beneath you as you fly along for hours, to the beautiful scenery of the drive between Vancouver to whistler, i finally made it there. It was my first time in the snow when it was snowing (i went to Switzerland and was in the snow there... but it was summer) and i was absolutely thrilled. I felt like a little child in a candy shop, i just stared out wide-eyed at everyone and everything. I have traveled a lot as a child but this is one environment i have not experienced before. And since i had never truly been in the snow, i didn't know how to ski. I arrived Sunday night and i went out right away, roaming the town with my friends, practically half of punahou goes to whistler during spring break.
The next morning, that annoying alarm clock work me up for a long 6 hour day of skiing. it was 4 in the morning Hawaii time and to top it off it was pouring with rain. I put on what seemed an endless amount of clothing, all which i thought was unnecessary because my aunt had got me my ski clothes and she tends to over exaggerate things. She had prepared me for a blizzard and that's what it looked like outside. About 50 pounds heavier with ski layers, cloths, and boots, i made my way to the gondola to meet my instructor, Simon. HE had a cheery face, light red hair and was from England. His accent was lovely and made me feel right at home. We went up to mid station, the learning point for new skiers on whistler mountain. There was terrible visibility and it was unbelievably cold. We were pelted with sleet and hail, it was rain that wanted to be snow but due to the weather, just covered the mountain in iciness. But at the end of a fun learning day Simon left me with some wise skiing words to bring up my hopes for the next days lesson, "you've survived the worse so it all gets better from here."

Spring Break
Week 1
I took an extra week off for spring break to accompany my parents on an annual business trip, but I'm not really writing about that week. The hotel i was staying at is a popular destination for celebrities, and each year i am there, a different group of them is there. When i was five, i went to the "Kids for all seasons" kids club, and ended up spending time with Demi Moores children, Scout, Rumor, and Tulula, and my mom spent time with her on that trip. This year when i was there, some of the guests included Paris Hilton, Justin Timberlake, Owen Wilson, Kirsten Dunst, Cameron Diaz's Sister, and Ice Cube (rapper).
I had no clue any of these people were at the hotel until one mornings breakfast. I was sitting around one of the many large round tables set up for the over-the-top breakfasts hosted by some of the sponsors of the trip. Across from me was the wife of BMW San Francisco dealer. She is a good friend of my family and loves to gossip, i think she is hysterical. So she is like "Ashley, have you gotten any pictures yet, you know who the celebs are that are here right? Alex(her son) and Kevin(his friend) went nuts when they saw ice cube."
I looked at her somewhat puzzled and told her i had no clue. But then it came to me and my dad said he had seen Paris Hilton. I checked in and was standing next to Paris Hilton the day i got there. And i went to dinner with my friend, and the huge table next to us was Kirsten Dunsts family and friends. It never even occurred to me that the young blond with over sized sunglasses, covered head to toe in designer apparel and surrounded by 5 or six extremely strong intimidating looking men was Paris Hilton. And my mother tells me the whole time on the trip that she spent with Demi Moore, she didn't know she was a celebrity. Ok so you may be thinking my family is just totally out of touch and doesn't know who anyone is, but it made me think something different.
in 7th grade, i remember a Damon speech that really stood out to me. The girl got up on stage, full of poise and confidence ready to persuade and convince the audience her speech was the best, but her message was true. She claimed people could name more celebrities than important politicians and people that make a difference in out world. And i believed her, and its so terribly true. But i guess it also made me think about how people are different, and how some value things differently, are more interested in certain things and just what people care about is different. I know that idea and connection of mine is quite a stretch, a BIG stretch with not much explanation, but i guess it makes more sense in my mind, but it really made an impact. Every day i see how different people truly are, from simple little things like 7th grade Damon speech and recognizing celebs, to learning the genetic possibility of someone else being the same as you in biology class.
